What we’re reading: Amsterdam Edition

Steven:  Missing Lynx by Kim Baldwin & Xenia Alexiou

Hayley:  The Bible. I chose The King James version (For the unicorns!) though I’m reading around quite a few different editions on my iPhone for clarity. This morning I just finished The Postmistress by Sarah Blake. I hated the first 100 pages but then half way in it made good on the promises made by Brigit, one of our reps at Penguin. And then there’s  Molly Moon’s Hypnotic Time Travel Adventure, book three in a series by Georgia Byng. Quite different from the first two; less compelling, but cleverer.

Jitse:   De negenmaandengids voor mannen by H.J. Hanssen

Femke: The Purposeful Universe by Carl Johan Calleman. It’s the latest ABC Spiritual Book Club book. I’m also reading  Love and Awakening by John Welwood.

Jeroen: The Great Gamble: The Soviet War in Afghanistan by Gregory Feifer.

Pleun: I found Serena by Ron Nash in one of our bargain sections. It’s good!

Hester: – [This is Hester’s last time on “What We’re Reading” – after working at ABC for almost forever, she’s off to a new job. Good luck Tante Hes!] Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck. Appropriate for this time in my life. It’s one of the few authors that I have everything from. He never repeats himself  because all his stories are about human nature.

Oscar: Alice in Wonderland (again), Flatland by Edwin A. Abbott and Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky

Tiemen: The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman and The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.

Maarten: Verplaatsingen by Kees van Kooten
