This is your event reporter, Else, reporting live from the scene of the event. On the 13th of September 2025, the ABC was once again present at Read My World in the Tolhuistuin. Usually the book market of Read My World is located in the gardens, but due to Inclement Weather, we were moved inside. Which I enjoyed way more than sitting in the rain trying to keep books dry while trying to sell them!
Read my World is a wonderful literary festival with workshops, readings, music, and a book market. The book market has multiple great bookstores attend, like a small poetry bookstore, some independent Dutch bookstores, a crowdfunded bookstore opening in November, and of course my personal favourite, the American Book Center. I had a lot of fun chatting to people about books, giving reading tips, and chatting to other booksellers. Looking forward to next year, hopefully with better weather!
