September is is traditionally a month in which lots of books are published, and this year is no different. Check out these excellent titles, big and small, that have already been released or are yet to come out this month!
We started off the month with Islington’s foray into sci-fi, after his wildly popular Hierarchy series. This is a fast-paced, action packed cyberpunk thriller about a genetically enhanced assassion who hunts the wealthy people trying to live forever.
SIMPLE TOO by Yotam Ottolenghi
This is the follow-up to SIMPLE, featuring 135 new recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a cookbook for busy people, with delicious meals coming together in (supposedly) less than 30 minutes but with lots of flavor.
Taipei Story by Rebecca F. Kuang
A coming-of-age story, this author’s second literary fiction novel is classic Kuang, simultaneously reflective and wryly humorous with lots of academic emphasis. Read Damla’s full review here.
We Chase Shadows by Richard Osman
This is the sequel to We Solve Murders, about a private investigator who teams up with her retired PI father to, you guessed it, solve murders. It has already been picked up by Netflix and will be adapted into a TV-series, but there is no expected release date for that yet.
In this follow-up to Want, more women have submitted anonymous, intimate letters detailing their fantasies, ranging from mundane to deeply erotic. It’s a feminist collection daring women to embrace their desires.
Dead Beat is the third and final book in Bardugo’s Ninth House trilogy. It seems like all the readers are wanting one thing and one thing only: more Alex and Darlington.
