Want to cook ridiculously good plant-based food from scratch but have no idea where to start? With over 100 incredibly easy and outrageously tasty all-plants meals, BOSH! will be your guide.

By Sophie

Like many people, my family is trying to eat less meat, and BOSH! is a great book to get you on the road to a less-meat or maybe even wholly plant-based life: they use regular ingredients, think outside the box on how to use them, and all the recipes have been well-tested.

Not one recipe that we’ve tried has been less than yummy, and we are particular fans of the Sticky Shiitake Mushrooms, the Thai Red Curry, the Shepherd’s Potatoes, and the Ultimate Chilli. Oh, and the Mushroom Wellingtons – that whole roast part of the cookbook made for one delicious Christmas dinner!

Try this book for some great new ideas on how to use flavors and vegetables to create delicious, hearty meals that make you forget you ever wanted meat.

Update 2024: I wrote the above mini-review 5 years ago (WOW!), and I still stand by it. My copy is completely falling apart and spattered with sauce (see the evidence below), and I use it almost weekly. Thanks to BOSH! I’ve gone from ‘one vegetarian meal a week’ to ‘one meal with meat a week’ – and there’s no looking back!
